This postgraduate course, organised into 5 main modules, focuses primarily on the industry's most important challenges, how technology is altering travel and tourism experiences for both customers and companies, and how to build a skilled workforce.

Technology is increasingly a crucial element of the T&H industry, helping companies with day-to-day operations while improving the customer experience. For this reason, hotels, airlines, restaurants and other companies within the industry must keep abreast of the latest technological trends and understand how to incorporate them into their organisations to enhance their growth and differentiation. This postgraduate course, organised into 5 major modules, focuses mainly on the industry's most important challenges, how technology is changing the travel and tourism experience for both customers and companies, and how to build a qualified workforce. During the 3-month programme, we explore much of the value chain in the tourism and hospitality sector, as well as much of the technology that is being used to create new experiences for increasingly demanding customers, while also paying attention to topics such as sustainability, health and wellbeing, as well as what may be the main trends for the future.
The Tourism International Academy (TIA) is an academy of the University NOVA of Lisbon specialised in Tourism and Hospitality which, based on the needs felt by the main industry groups, has created an educational offering in the areas of greatest need in the sector.
As TIA is an academy that brings together the entire educational offering of the University of NOVA Lisbon associated with Tourism and Hospitality, the courses are taught in the various faculties that have courses associated with Tourism: NOVA IMS, NOVA FSCH, NOVA FCT, NOVA SBE.

Yes, upon completion of the course, candidates receive a certificate that confers ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) with recognition in higher education institutions in Europe.
