To address the growing importance of the tourism sector and its complexity and interdependence with various economic activities, the NOVATourism and Hospitality platform was created, whose main objective is to actively contribute to solving the sector's challenges. 

With the involvement of 8 of its faculties (NOVA School of Business and Economics, NOVA Information Management School, NOVA School of Science and Technology – FCT, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Nova Medical School, National School of Public Health, António Xavier Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology, NOVA School of Law) it frames 5 impact clusters: heritage, digital transformation, gastronomy and nutrition, sustainability, and health, placing exact sciences in collaboration with social sciences.

The NOVA Tourism and Hospitality platform therefore has an interdisciplinary approach to creating solutions that involve:
